Colds, flu, sinus and chest congestion, lack of energy, weight gain, sadness, lethargy, mental heaviness, digestive challenges (to name a few!) are typical symptoms of imbalance for all of us during the winter months. With the help of yogic and Ayurvedic principles however, we can accommodate the nature of seasonal change and experience Winter’s purpose; to encourage a calm, settling and restorative energy. With a little understanding, we can allow Winter to do what it's intended to do for all of nature, including us!

Join us at The Space Above for a fun afternoon exploring how the yoga wall can deepen your yoga practice. This workshop will show you how the yoga wall can support you in standing positions, help to open hips and shoulders, deepen twists and remove the fear of inversions.
All levels welcome - no yoga experience necessary!

About Dolores Little
Dolores attended her first yoga class 10 years ago as a means to shake up her exercise routine, but it didn’t take long for her to realize that yoga is so much more than what happens on the mat. She received her 200 hour certification from Studio Bamboo Institute of Yoga in Dec 2010, and is currently pursuing 500 hour certification under her beloved teacher, Lisa ‘Asha’ Rapp. Dolores was first introduced to the Yoga Wall at The Space Above and immediately recognized how this unique prop can open the body and deepen your practice. She attended Yoga Wall training with Bryan Legere, one of the inventors of the Yoga Wall, in early 2011, receiving Level I and Level II certification. Dolores finds that yoga is essential in helping her deal with the day-to-day stress and international travel associated with being a Security Specialist for NATO, where she has worked for the last 24 years. Dolores lives in Norfolk with her husband, David; together they enjoy traveling and spending weekends on their classic mahogany boat at their summer home on Lake Gaston.

Class size limited to 10 couples
This partner style yoga class will be a fun spirited, light hearted communal experience. We will be exploring the playful side of yoga by allowing a combination of creative energy, compassion and sillyness to share something unique and different...WHATEVER that may look like!
All "types" of yogis are welcome and all tight, non yoga practicing bodies are encouraged. And yes.....there will be love related music!
No need to be a "couple." Bring your friend, your mom, your dad, your daughter.....just someone you love and love to have fun with!
