Benjamin Smith, CMT began his path towards Body Work as a student of Reiki and Shamanic Coaching under the guidance of Cynthia Bischoff with the Leading from the Heart Foundation He was led to Cynthia after a series of unique Kundalini experiences began to drastically dissolve previous paradigms of perception and lifestyle.

In 2004, Benjamin was a conference volunteer at the Association for Research and Enlightenment/A.R.E. Ben graduated from the Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy in 2006. He has taken Upledger CranioSacral introduction with Linda Tingle and Biodynamic CranioSacral courses 1&2 with The Lyons Institute. Ben completed Neuromuscular Therapy 1-5 at the St. Johns Institute with Denise Gormley. Ben has also taken some Acupressure schooling with Judith Settle at the A.R.E.
Ben is a student of Pathways to Light with Dana How LPC and is also a student of Vipassana Meditation. He will begin the CranioSacral Certification course with Osteopath Hugh Milne in the Fall of 2009. Currently Ben teaches at Everest School of Massage in Chesapeake, Virginia and is Papa to Alyssa Rose, Devon and Leah and Husband to Angela Graciani.

Ben has learned not to view the sensations of the body as good or bad, just as “unique expressions.” This has helped Ben to become less attached to pathology and labels and more interested in finding the common space between client and practitioner where the innate healing protocol resides.
